Ocean Walker
Editorial Photography
2018
A January shoot in the North Sea with Adam Walker, one of the world’s elite open-water swimmers and the first British athlete to complete the Ocean’s Seven challenge.
With water temperatures around 8°C and a rough sea to work in, there was little room for error. Shooting from a small RIB, I had to react quickly to the changing conditions, anticipate Adam’s movement and make the most of every opportunity before the cold became a limiting factor.
Adam brought the determination and focus that have defined his career. My job was to work with that energy, stay composed in difficult conditions and find the images that captured what makes him exceptional.
Shot for Red Bull / The Red Bulletin.
